She wants to be the president (my first reaction to that is to laugh but uh, our president is Biden right now so I wouldn't count her out unfortunately) and she fully understands that:
Joe Biden is the absolute high point for Israel support in the Democratic party
Liberal media will forgive her relative silence because a VP being loyal to the President is paramount in their minds
She nonetheless desperately needs to disassociate herself from this, and is hoping to make up for this liability by doing some kind of last-minute bandwagon jumping onto pro-palestinian rhetoric and possibly actions depending on where this all takes us.
She can claim to have worked on the inside to temper the bloodthirstiness, as if we hadn't heard that before
