ok that's kinda strange though, I'm seeing this pic on imgur posted all the way back in 2014
so did you cook this 8 years ago?
As of right now - 36,163,973 cattle have been killed in the US already this year
Calves raised for beef are subjected to a variety of painful surgical procedures without anaesthesia, including:
- disbudding or dehorning
- ear tagging
- branding with a hot iron
As well as:
- forced castration
The majority of cattle are slaughtered at 18 months of age
Most will spend their entire lives in cramped conditions without ever getting the chance to naturally graze.
If they get sick, they're not given veterinary care - they're left to deteriorate.
When the cattle are sorted and checked for pregnancy, they are forcefully herded through the yard system into restraint boxes.
When the cattle that survive hit 18 months, they’re forced into a knock box which they'll desperately try to escape from. Then they'll be stunned, typically by a bolt gun, and watch / listen to the other cattle be killed. They'll know fully what's about to happen and be helpless to prevent it.
Please stop perpetrating animal suffering :vegan-liberation-rad:
here is a delicious mushroom bourguignon recipe (i have made this myself and can vouch for it) that doesnt involve complicity in any of this
that looks REALLY good, especially on top of that mash. and is that a pearl onion I spy? 👀 The best add to a stew, imo, just a perfectly juicy bite. good job OP!
edit: upon further investigation it appears we've been duped. You didn't even crop out the watermark all the way. Come on.

Damn weird coincidence, I was planning on making Boeuf Bourgingnon this weekend as well as homemade stock cause I got my hands on some bones.
Looks very tasty.
