Some good native xeriscaping on the left too. It isn't just bland rock beds like the house on the right. That's a neat mix of yuccas with giant flower stalks that support pollinators, junipers that provide food and habitat, and drought-resistant grasses that aren't vulnerable to all the diseases making their neighbours' lawns look like shit. In ten years they'll still look like that while everyone else has dead turf/trees.
