    Did we know PFAS compounds were a problem when they decided to make them ubiquitous in a ton of things?

      Not a chemistry history person really but most likely we did the classic "If it doesn't cause any immediate problems, it's safe". Then we proceeded to coat every pipe with them.

      Any time there is a new chemical, all they do is make sure it doesn't make you immediately sick and ship it out the door. They don't care, plus ,they get contracted to clean them up in many cases.
