I got curious, googled the story and the UK definition of a "shot". It's the Daily Mail so I'm assuming it's pretty heavy sensationalized bullshit but according to the article:

Maria Mills downed around 40 measures of Baileys Irish Cream before driving off and crashing into parked cars worth more than £100,000.

And while I've never even been to Britain before, quick googling led me to find that the definition of a "measure" of liquor is 25 ml (Except in Northern Ireland, which is 35ml) , which is significantly below the international average, according to a chart I skimmed off Wikipedia. Assuming the DM used the rather low definition of 25ml, 25ml X "around 40 measures" = 1 liter of Baileys. Which at 17% abv is still a lot of booze but not as nearly as bad as the headline makes it sound

The more impressive part is that she drank a liter of heavy cream and kept it all in

The article specifies that she drank one and a half bottles. UK government specifies that spirit bottles are 700 ml or 1000 ml.

I've seen a measure used to mean 50ml instead of 25ml but considering this is the daily heil they're probably using the 25ml version of a measure to make it seem like more

The mystery is the mass quantity of sugar, not the alcohol.
