I'm looking for stuff to listen to. Beyond Cars and Comrades, anybody do anything I can listen to while I spend five hours a day in a lab by myself?
Recently people recommended Death Panel, pretty good Marxist health and policy podcast.
Marx Madness for theory, Last Podcast on the Left for paranormal shit and true crime but not in a reactionary sort of way, The Deprogram if you want to listen to homoerotic jokes between a Texan a Slav and an Iraqi, I have some others but most of the ones that jump to mind I assume everyone here knows about.
Mostly looking for things fellow hexbears did. I've seen mention of some of them before but with the old posts being entombed at the moment I can't search for them.
(Edits added later)
Marx Madness I haven't heard of. But I need more theory.
Last Podcast on the Left I had to step away from years ago because staring into the darkness actually started messing with me.
Working class history - what it says on the tin
It did happen here - stories about fighting fascism in portland. Skinhead nazis vs anti racist skinheads. Talks to real activists from back then
Very bad wizards (not leftist) - philosophy and psychology podcast but informal and usually both insightful and funny
The troubles podcast (bit both sides-ey as in not explicitly pro IRA) - a detailed and well sourced history of the troubles in ireland with interviews with people who were there
QAnon Anonymous - deep dives on conspiracy theorists and whacky conferences. Started out as exclusively qanon content but had evolved with the times. They go 'undercover' to a lot of chud events. Funny skits too sometimes
I’m always pretty surprised by how many folks on the left don’t know about Means Morning News - I didn’t know about it until somewhat recently, great 15-20 min catch up on the news podcast with a great host. They put it out like 4-5 times a week
