A fungible token is just regular crypto. Non-fungible means that the tokens are unique from each other. A bitcoin is a fungible token.

NFTs are garbage. Torrenting is sharing. Torrenting NFTs is just sharing garbage. That's a self own. You're wasting 18 tb of your own bandwidth and roughly 4-5 full harddrives. You're legitimizing techbro shit.

Spoiler: This was a publicity stunt by a techbro vanlifer grifter. https://twitter.com/GeoffreyHuntley/status/1461322836165885954

And it's not even actually on thepiratebay, he just set up his own site to look like thepiratebay.

Look at how trash these images are: https://thenftbay.org/search.html

On second glance, you can't even browse through them on the website. It just shows the same images no matter what you type in the search. You also can't download them individually, the torrent contains 2 large archive files that are many terrabytes in size.

    "screen shots of"

So you mean of the NFTs. They're digital images. If you have another file with that exact arrangement of bits, then you have the same image. It's not an image of the NFTs, it is the NFTs. You can't actually own a digital image no matter how hard capitalism keeps trying to make it happen.

You're a little off, but it's not your fault... it's because the reality is even dumber. The images are not NFTs (in the cases I've seen) The NFT is a link to an image. The image is not what you are purchasing. You are purchasing a link to an image. A link that you don't control. Pretty sure sometime last year someone found that most of them were being stored on google drive lol.

I'm Carmen Sandiego, but my biggest job yet is just the shittiest art imaginable.
