      You can, but these super-indoctrinated freaks make up at least 20% of the Amerikan populace. Sure, if you'd be in a position to try and re-educate them, that would necessarily require that you've gone through a revolutionary war and red terror to get to that point, which would already have killed off large numbers of them, but it still seems like an insurmountable task to save every single one of the remaining reactionaries. Puyi was given the choice between re-education and death. He chose a new life as a street sweeper, many others did not. The same would have to apply in a post-revolutionary US and i'd assume that most hogs would spew something like bEtTeR dEaD tHaN rEd :pit: as their last words.
