Unless there's some giant Socialist Realism lobby I've never met or heard about most people I know who like Socialist Realist art like it because it contrasts heavily with most contemporary 20th century American art and represents a different style with a different purpose and vision. I don't know anyone who is slavishly reproducing it in the 21st century. Most contemporary socialist artists are drawing furry porn to make rent like everyone else.
