He became the president of Georgia after Rose Reovultion and again in 2008 during which he got invaded by Russia for trying to join NATO. He was eventually fled Georgia on charges of corruption and lived in NY till becoming the gov of Odessa. Also fun fact the founder of the Georgian Legion, Mamuka Mamulashvili, was a senior military advisor to Saakashvili during his second presidency
