I remember telling them I thought it would last well into 2022 - I imagined us actually getting a handle on it though lol, not just giving up and declaring it prematurely over. I guess in a way, the actual answer was some time in 2021 going by restrictions and shit.
Media has primed the exact response we are seeing. Works of fiction have led USians to believe it's not a "real" pandemic unless the pathogen has a greater than 50% mortality rate.
