I honestly still can't tell. It's like someone crafted the perfect tnedency-specific vial of meta-cyanide with which to set us off, but they seem so genuine when they post.

That's the thing, I want to believe they're sincereposting, but I want to believe everyone is sincereposting :sicko-wholesome:

The account is amazing though, great :posting: energy

judging from their responses to me and their presence on the mastodon instance, i do think they're sincereposting. i just wish they'd listen a little better, people are providing the push back for a reason. this is an explicitly communist space, even if we are tendency neutral, and i think they haven't quite figured out the dialectical materialist thinking yet.

Yeah, if you're an anarchist that's cool :left-unity-4:, but you gotta keep it material before just pure :zizek:

Their post wasn't even that bad - there's a robust debate re: harm reduction vs. accelerationism (which is my gut feeling as to why the struggle session got so crazy), but if you're going to argue for harm reduction own that shit and make the case for it on the merits.

          :marx-guns-blazing:

for sure :anarcho-sickle:. and yeah, i think there's just a core of idealism to their thinking that is hindering their ability to understand where all the responders are coming from. and a struggle session usually isn't great at getting someone to actually change their mind, and i get it, shit gets heated. everyone digs in to their positions.
