Seems to go into incel territory a bit. People can reject you, as hard as that sounds. It sucks. But the way this comic is worded, with the incredibly cliche 'standards of women' thing, makes it seem a bit incel.
I saw it more as the guy tying his self worth to wether he gets a partner or not, and taking rejection very badly to the point of suicide. It might be incel or not, but the joke is very morbid.
If you happen to be suicidal, apply for a job in corporate software engineering. It is a much healthier alternative that feels virtually indistinguishable from the real thing, and you get to afford commodities from time to time
