Students have barricaded themselves inside the building, and their pickets outside. Cops withdrew last night but they could be back at any time. If anyone here is in Humboldt county it would be awesome if you could come through and take a shift on the line. There is food available

I heard they did this near me and all got arrested after like one night, occupying an outdoor area. Glad other places are more organized!

It seems like that has been happening at many of the solidarity encampments. The biggest difference i think is that the students here immediately seized a building, then barricaded it quite heavily. When combined with a large angry crowd outside, that is very difficult for police to penetrate.

yes much better tactic tbh, though the angry crowd is key. also knowing what buildings/parts of buildings are defensible. I think the campus near me has a lot of interconnected buildings and underground tunnels

Nowhere near Humboldt country right now but I did live there once upon a time. :07: to the brave students there at HSU and at other schools around the country. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!
