for some reason i've always been fascinated with somebody developing an antarctic colonization sim game. at the very least it would be the least genocidal colonization possible. but mostly just for the challenge of the terrain, habitability, and building infrastructure in a super hostile land where it's almost like colonizing another planet.
plausible scenario would be like as a climate crisis refuge.
i could never finish that game. it felt like it had low replayability and i became obsessed with trying to get everything right on my first run and basically paralyzed myself and stopped playing. plus holy shit was it depressing.
but imagining a fusion of frostpunk and a colonization game now makes me want a alt history/ dieselpunk Antarctica city colonization game. maybe with some lovecraftian elements.
