Seriously, what's up with all the weird shit they put on pizza now? It was bad enough when they put pineapple on the damn things but anymore it's just throw whatever you want on there. And after all this what do they do? Use the same damn crust on all of them. No innovation. No change. They put the whole food pyramid on top of the same old tired crust. Shameful. Truly shameful.
Of all places, in Italy. They just decided to put Doner Kebab meat, vegetables, and fries on top of a pizza. It was glorious for my drunk-ass.

Afaik it actually is Italian. Pizza Americana or something. Mine had frankfurters too, all of which was surprisingly good (but I was also drunk)
Pizza americana is a different one, yeah. This one was called pizza kebab, and there was yogurt sauce and harissa on top. There's also the Bismarck which has a sunny side egg in the center. Italians can get weird about their pizza, when they want to.
Toppings are one thing, but have you ever had pizza with a weird sauce? It tastes like betrayal. (i've grown to like bbq tho)
I'll do you one better: no sauce. I've had it multiple times, and when it works, it works. But it doesn't fail to weird me out.
The only time I've had sauceless pizza was when my order got switched with someone else's. It was plain cheese and it was vile. I drowned it in ketchup to make it edible
That sounds horrible. A place close where I live makes a "carbonara" pizza with egg, mozzarella, pancetta, parmesan and no sauce, and that's pretty good.
That sounds waaaay better than none pizza from Domino's. I dunno who would even eat something like that, a person with sensory issues maybe? It made me gag for real

I know you're joking, but I work at a fancy pizza place and if you're operating at a higher level of pizza, the dough/crust is really how to tell if the chef gives a shit. Making pizza dough is easy, making really good pizza dough and getting it consistent takes at least half a year if you're going at it very scientifically and taking notes and making logs of your results, 2-3 if you're going off vibes. It's bread and bread has a very low skill floor and a skill ceiling that is at a Lagrange point.

Isn’t the bottom to top conversion rate absolutely screwed and hyperinflated? I swear every time I go to a bar, or LGBT outing there are swarms of bottoms tearing each other to pieces over the few remaining individuals of the endangered species that are tops.
Joking slightly, but I’m pretty sure bottoms outnumber tops by a wide margin.
