    Probably, but it's hard to deny the Croatian keeper's ability to anticipate was excellent. If more Brazilian players had done the fake-out run that one player did, they may have sunk a few more; doing straight run ups gave the Croatian keeper all the info he needed to make the right calls.

        Still hard to speak on, going to penalties this deep into a World Cup must be unbelievably stressful, even for a seasoned player

          Agreed, mentality is very important for penalties and overtime and Croatia having been through this already is probably an advantage there too.

            True, that was likely the x factor. The way they played to slow the game and focused on maintaining possession, they may have been playing this one out anticipating some advantage in extra time/penalties.
