Back in the 70's we smoked leaf because we lived in a jerkwater suburb and it was good, I liked it fine. First bud I smoked was akin to the first time I dropped LSD I was that high.
I hope your future plants yield all the bud you dream of, though.
I had the opposite problem a couple years ago. 8/8 female plants from collected/found seed, lost every single one to spider mites
I didn't grow this year but I had a couple volunteers pop up in my open compost pile. Both males but it was still kinda cool to just walk out to turn the pile one day and be like wtf.
