    I mean the reason tear gas isn't supposed to be used in war is because it might be mistaken for more lethal gas and trigger escalation. Somehow I don't think protestors have the ability to launch sarin gas shells at the cops.

    Weren't there reports (from Ukrainian media) that AFU is using actual chemical weapons? Dropping them from drones
