It's not like if he did step down every single decision at Twitter wouldn't be his idea. It would still continue Its slide into becoming a right-wing echo chamber. He still thinks he's right, he just didn't realize how much people hate him.
He doesn't want to die and he realised much like many of us here that he was in very significant danger of death.
He's a fascist but he's made a very important decision, he is not willing to die for it.
