i don't know any of the people behind these sites personally, but I feel way more of a personal connection to them than I do looking at regular social media posts. i'm too young to have used the early web, but i feel a strange nostalgia for it. it's much more "homemade" than today's antiseptic social media sites. if i were more creatively inclined i might try emailing some of the people behind these sites and write about it, i think that would be fun.
This is right up my alley as someone who grew up on the old internet of the late 90's and early 2000's, thank you for this.
