So this is my first ok-ish attempt at coloring one of my super rough inky sketches. I could do a lot more but I'm tired after 2 hours. I had fun figuring out how to use multiply and divide blending modes to get some subtle shadows and highlights. I really noticed how important a good layer workflow is here, cause fixing issues is a lot harder than just doing it right the first time, and properly organized layers makes this easier. Alpha clipping masks were super super helpful and allowed me to draw on the skin or cloth without worrying about messing anything else up. Still think overall she looks a little flat, but I think I'm on the right track for some fun fantasy art down the line. I think I would benefit from choosing a more complex reference image next time, with more interesting lighting and skin tones, skimpy pale white dark elf didn't lend itself to much experimentation with color. Volcel police be damned I like skimpy dark elves :party-cat: and you cant stop me
