This is maybe a bit more niche than you're looking for but The Big White Lie is a :chefs-kiss: book the tells the story of the 1980 Cocaine Coup in Bolivia and describes the collusion between the CIA and the drug cartels (and neo-nazis, as it turns out). Highly recommend. Apparently Evo Morales cited the book when he kicked the DEA out of Bolivia years ago.
Also the Narcos and Narcos Mexico series on Netflix are quite good although I cannot speak to how accurate they are (taken at face value they seem decently researched, though of course they depict the Americans as good guys trying their darndest to fight the baddie drug dealers, and of course don't describe any active collusion between other branches of governement like the CIA and the cartels)
