I am normally the kind of person who picks up stray trash or other people's dog poop, but will confess in this instance my immediate trauma made me want to be nowhere near it with my hands, covered or otherwise. I swear to my fellow hexbears that if it's still there during afternoon/evening walk I will do my duty.
