Now imagine an economic system that literally ends the world because a bunch of rich people want money and can't comprehend themselves dying.

Really like the Jason Hickel to commie pipeline recently developing. He's pretty obviously socialist-oriented but in a way that i find useful for building consciousness in western prols who care about the environment.

Wind Energy is crazy profitable. One reason why Texas State Legislators and Executives whine and cry and nash their teeth over the horrible Green New Deal Agenda invading their state, but do very little to actually impede it.

The dirty truth of fossil fuels is that they generate enormous overhead relative to nuclear or renewables. Coal went into rapid decline in the face of cheap natural gas and wind. Natural gas is hitting its own soft ceiling as more wind and solar come online. Peak Oil is forcing the industry to balance between keeping gasoline sales high enough to make drilling wells lucrative but low enough not to scare retail car drivers into the battery market.

The biggest thing green energy has in its favor is the fact that infrastructure amounts to endless free money. The only thing keeping deployments from coming online even more rapidly is fossil fuel subsidies and kickbacks and favorable regulatory rules and legacy foreign policies and a host of other artificial government-sponsored initiatives. And even then... Every day, we're building another enormous 80 MW turbine along the Corpus Christi coast.

Even if they did like them, voters will just get in the way because it doesn't pollute enough.
