that last bit "don't worry Department of Energy you're safe this time" might have slipped past a few people because of its pretty innocuous naming, but the Department of Energy is the people in charge of the US nuclear weapons program along with other nuke-stuff.
They also do the energy stuff you probably expect from something called the Department of Energy though so maybe she just found some stuff about solar panels idk
They are a weird Frankenstein-department. They started out for Nuclear stuff, they do renewable energy funding and development (that one at least makes sense with the name), and they are the main U.S. funding wing of particle physics and cosmology.
