I have the exact same problem

That and I do have a small horde of ferrets digging into everything that isn't made of solid wood or metal

They're all adjusting to our newest little girl

A six month old straight from a testing lab

We've named her Peanut and she's a little tornado of energy, runs around hissing at everyone, but she's coming around to being a sweet little lady

Our girl Rosie likes my partner more, but that's mostly because my partner carries her around like she's the Queen of England

Our little boy Lupo seems to prefer me, but that's probably because I'm the one who brings in their morning and evening snacks (I just grind up some of their kibble and add water until it turns into porridge) and he's a little foodbeast

hopefully this isn't too OT but how do you go about adopting lab animals like that? is there some group that helps them find homes or something?

The shelter I adopt from has a program in place where they take in the lab ferrets who are up to be be culled

A lot of shelters are trying to implement similar plans, best to check with them to see if they're doing anything

huh, interesting. i think i assumed most lab animals just...didn't make it.

i'll have to look into the shelters near me; thanks!
