I have discovered that I seem to have a huge taste for music that's simultaneously somber and groovy as fuck. Allow me to give you some examples of what I mean:

- Crystal Teardrops from Symphony of the Night
- Undead Man Walkin' from Deadbolt
- Coalescence from Risk of Rain 1 (same composer, Chris Christodolou)

There's some really good stuff in here!
I do love a lot of citypop because it definitely fits the vibe, but it seems like you cycle through the good stuff pretty quickly. I always feels like there's a huge trove of quality stuff out there that youtube hasn't deigned to recommend to me, though.
Yeah, and stuff occasionally gets taken down because of copyright too - I got most of mine by downloading whole discographies, either through torrents or various kind of shady blog-type sites that had links to zips with the albums. The algorithm was really good at one point, but these days I'm not so sure.
