      Funny thing is the statue in Montreal was built as a tribute for his work done in the city on pulmonary diseases. the Chinese characters on the statue were added later since there was an attempt to improve Sino-Canadian relationship in the 2000s (because Bethune is one of the rare foreign revolutionary martyr in China)

      Extra funny also because Bethune is unknown in Canada. So the dude is literally writing about a straw-man situation as if the Libs in Canada is worshiping Bethune
