    "How will Kenya pay for this hospital" kind of betrays how western empires do it, right? Predatory loans and currency manipulation, which then leads to debt, subsequently followed by sanctions and threat of military intervention. China as far as I know, seems to do standard commerce with other countries and frequently forgives debt.

    The accusation is that China will someday do the same thing as western countries but in a sneaky way that seems neutral/benevolent at first.

      The difference is that the west has rarely done anything benevolent for poor nations

      The west should be so kind as to provide hospitals in exchange for payment, right now all it really does is take payment in exchange for nothing at all.
