It probably wouldn't be that bad on a longer rifle, but on a carbine or SMG having like a third of the gun's length be a knife can't feel all that good. And with an SMG in particular, actually gripping it in proper bayonet technique would be a lot more awkward - your supporting hand would have to wrap around a much thicker part of the gun, and you wouldn't be able to grip as far forward.
Were these long bayonets unwieldly, especially on an smg?
Have you considered that it looks cool?
With the bipod (for an smg, real?) it seems kinda mall operator or smth honestly.
