Not as bad as they used to treat the Ukrainians and Belorussians in the territory they occupied apparently, but still, this video inadvertantly makes the case for the USSR's invasion in 1939 being a kindness for the workers and peasants. Someone shared it the other day on a different website when people were going on about how the USSR were le ebil red fash because they collaborated with the Nazis, and then I saw people using the same talking points in a group I'm in on FB.
I've been getting through this video very slowly, and it brilliantly explains the political situation in Poland leading up to WWII, along with giving a good definition of the term "fascism" and providing through its analysis several good examples of capitalist imperialism as it happened in Poland. Some of the economic stuff went over my head a bit because I struggle with that kind of thing, but I think I got the gist. It's entirely in Russian (I think?) but the whole video has English captions. It's nice in a way, because it means that the sources they use (and there are lots of sources) aren't all western ones, but it makes for a lot of reading. I'd recommend watching in several sittings, because it's very dense.
