    because the a default position in 3d modelling software showing up sometimes a fallback for when a videogame breaks a little is contextually very silly.

      also because we very rarely get to see something hit a total failure state and have the outcome be absurd instead of completely horrific.

      when people or animals reach a complete failure state, we fucking die.
      building? collapse.
      aeroplane engines? explosive plane crash.
      structural integrity of earth's crust? volcanic explosion

      but an animated visual representation of a human or animal, constructed of millions of polygons, controlled by thousands to millions of lines of code, meticulously voice acted and covered in incredibly high-res textures? you know what it does?
