This guy has a lot of weird takes and leaves out critical information. TIK is a weirdo but he has something like a 45 part series on Stalingrad that's not even finished, and he includes the important parts. Not just "they did this and that", but why they did. That was the real eye-opener for me, and it was very satisfying to finally understand the why.

Yeah, I skimmed through a video on Soviet Partisans from the same channel and they had the mind-bogglingly idiotic both-sides take of "um, actually, the Partisans and the Nazis were both responsible for the brutality against civilians in Eastern Europe", which was just :agony-deep:. Like yeah, obviously the actions of partisans caused to nazis to carry out violent reprisals against the civilian population, but to in any way equate the actions of an army fighting a literal war of extermination with those of the people resisting them is insane, bet they'd fucking whine about :john-brown: too.

TIK's a dipshit as well, he's one of those "Nazis were actually socialists" morons. Suffice to say, there aren't really any good modern-ish history youtubers, or at least western ones, since everyone's infested with anti-communist brainworms. But the maps are nice :shrug-outta-hecks:

Yeah but TIK's Stalingrad series is really, really good. As long as he sticks to tanks, he's fine. I spent a long time wondering what the Axis minors were doing, and lo and behold he actually answered the question! And not just the oft-told story of the collapse on the flanks, but their history during the entire operation from the beginning. :rat-salute:
