    It is Dschingis in German, they added an extra H for unknown reasons. It makes a lot more sense if you know how it is supposed to be pronounced. Like Kaiser, Qaisar, Tsar and Caesar. Perfidious Albion corrupting a pronounciation and getting confused when confronted with a correct pronounciation as per usual :ukkk:

    It is Djingis in Swedish.

    Apparently it is pronounced more like "jengus." When the Anglos translate this stuff to the Roman alphabet, some approximations happen and some liberties are taken. Kind of like how Beijing used to be spelled/pronounced Peking, or how Mao Zedong is also written as Mao Tse Tung in some literature.
