In the past, Vallas took a Republican endorsement and toyed with switching parties. Today, despite GOP support, he’s distancing himself from the party.

I know he lost now but i wanna read about this.

    Happens in cities all the time. Politically Republicans just don't exist in the city, so you have Democrats who do shit like fight any public works project possible. Even though it was started by the previous Democrat in office.

      This is also a good point to bring up when talking about (essentially) one-party foreign governments. Toeing the line on a few major party policies while strongly opposing other party policies isn't some new idea.
