i've owned that game/mod for years and have literally never managed to find or connect to a game, i think it was dead/abandoned before i ever tried to play it. maybe one of those situations where some obscure discord plays once a month.
Last year I found a server with maybe 5 players on it during a Saturday at ~21:00 UCT iirc, but the ping was pretty bad. The game's OST is one of the few CDs that I haven't lost & it slaps

Yeah, it's really shocking how amazing of an OST was composed for a free and really niche mod. Ed Harrison really nailed it with that one, even a lot of the stuff he threw away or didn't finish is great
