Once it got bought and Nate Silver let a bunch of haircuts blow smoke up his ass, he dropped the "just the numbers" attitude and started doing punditry, immediately negating any value he offered and making his predictions completely worthless and no different from any other guy in a suit on MSNBC or CNN.
