FGC sub is read only so I decided to post here
Comrades...I gotta tell you that if you play fighters and you are even slightly on the fence about attempting a switch to a leverless controller then I cannot recommend the snackbox micro enough.
Every one of my concerns about this controller (size, weight, button layout, etc) have been unfounded. I've been using it for a couple days now and I can already tell that it's going to be my main controller for all fighting games going forward. The thing is an absolute joy and I genuinely can see it becoming the overwhelmingly dominant staple of tournaments.
Nope. It's like a keyboard basically. Three buttons on the left side are left, down, and right respectively. Big button on the bottom is up. It definitely feels kind of weird and wonky at first using the bottom button to jump, But the benefit is that you can have one finger on every direction so it reduces your travel time to zero, and also gives you access to certain shortcuts because you can hold down simultaneous directional buttons you couldn't with a stick.
Having used a stick for years it's definitely not second nature for me yet, but already I'm stunned at how much easier certain links and hit confirms are. Also maybe it's just me and how my brain is wired, But I definitely feel like it reduces the mental stack. I'm going to Evo in a few months and I'm super excited.
Yoooo good luck at Evo! :party-sicko:
What game(s)?
Aside, always wanted to try a hitbox or other all-button controller since I miss critical inputs all the goddamn time on a stick, be it gamepad or fight stick.

Street fighter vi! Super excited about the open Beta weekend! The game isn't even out yet but Jamie is already my favorite character in the series.
Huh, neat. I'm not into any games that would really benefit from a setup like that but I definitely get that it is a benefit
