Luckily it ended up being just a guy who was probably conceal carry and someone reported it. But had to hunker in the back room of the store I was in for 20 min. Had a minor panic that I could possibly die in a fucking mall i hate americaaa
On the bright side, the store gave us all an 'active shooter event' 25% off special :die:
Hey now, don't make fun of what might potentially be a great idea. Active shooter in the building? 75% off; a great way to get customers to keep shopping.

Is… is that real?
They didn't explicitly say it was an 'active shooter event' discount, but thats what it was for.
jesus christ.
at first I thought it was a snappy stinger, but after a moment i wasn't so sure. now I'm like, "of course they did."
I'd really like to know too, it sounds like a bit but quite frankly OP's entire experience does, coming from :eu-cool:
Love the 25% discount, it's like a Mr Burns line
Picturing the mall manager emerging from the safe room, having faced the terror of his naked mortality, and realizing, "Life is precious and transient--joy is all I can give that is truly valuable. A 25 percent discount for all!"
Firing into the ceiling every time I go shopping to ensure I get my GODDAMN DISCOUNT
‘active shooter event’ 25% off special
I'd be tempted to think you were just joking but then again America also now has bulletproof backpacks, being the only country in the world where that's a thing
My friend was got stuck in the back room of a store for a long time at a mall because of an active shooter once, but some people died that time. America, folks! We love it. (And also :meow-hug: it's a terrifying experience to go through, even if it ended up being a false alarm.)
