I guess I’ll consume the state mandated amount of treats and feel bad about it in a manner I’m prescribed to feel guilty about. That’s makes me a morally good person. I consume the right amount which is too much but I flagellate myself which its okay.

If, after careful consideration, you've determined that there is no morally correct way forward, you may as well do whatever, as long as you're not a dickhead to people whose whatever is different from yours.

I think this is what Hassan-i Sabbah was getting at with that "nothing is true, everything is permitted" stuff.

Some things do more damage than other things.

Shopping at Whole Foods and buying a Tesla won't improve society somewhat, but saying "it's all the same" and rolling coal while dumping used motor oil into a municipal water supply is pure :brainworms:

Touche. That's the trouble with an extremely vague term like "treats". Maybe there is some merit to the argument that we should stop using it.

It's been over half a year since I've used the t-word in that context. :im-doing-my-part:

I’m not saying that classism is good, but high quality stores and electric vehicles should exist exclusively for the use by very skilled and important people like doctors and communist party officials. Everyone else can eat shit.
