Video thumbnail is a tweet saying:
I hate how I am a "I have an appointment at 4pm so I can't do anything all day" type of person
TLDR set disruptive alarms. This lets you forget about the event until you need to focus on it, instead of devoting attention to keeping it in mind all day to the detriment of everything else.
Video is very succinct and well-edited and I think it's worth a watching the whole thing. He has a good style and has ADHD himself so he knows how to edit for his audience.
Is there some way to fix that thing where you're supposed to do something but you can't for some reason but you know you're supposed to get it done and you can't let yourself do anything else so you just do nothing all day
I get that problem so bad and tbh the only things that help me at all are getting away from distractions and/or finding someone to supervise and hang out with me
there were times when I would skype my sister or one of my parents and I would screenshare in silence while doing an assignment just to keep myself on track
medication also helps but if i really hate the task then medication sometimes just helps me focus better on whatever procrastination project I've come up with
