I'll be honest, I don't know much about it. I got it entirely because the pearl clutchers in my life have been talking about them.
can I use this to unlock random people's cars and move them out of bike lanes?
I used to take mine to frat parties and switch the music to Ram Ranch

I wanted one so much before I saw the price. You can do a lot of good intercepting A/V signals in auditoriums to fuck up the sound.
Yeah the price shocked me, but I do a lot of industrial troubleshooting and I bet it will come in handy. So I justified it as a work expense. Reading more about it today and it seems like it's a really neat little device. I can already see myself using it to bypass entry doors at places that refuse to give me a door pass. Hahaha
Yeah, I ended up ponying up for one and to my surprise I did not regret it.

As much as I would love to do this for clients who refuse to give badge access, be careful this is mega illegal
I've used it to copy gate/garage door openers, fiddled a bit with badUSB for shits and giggles, and tested out the wifi deauth and probe attacks on my home network with the wifi marauder board. I want to try messing with rolling codes because I think it can do it with some extra legwork but I haven't really buckled down and gotten into the details yet.

Capture someone's (or some building's) garage door signal. The someone should be a jerk, of course.
-
Fuck with them.
There are weaknesses to many rolling codes.
The unrestricted firmware for the flipper zero allows to exploit those when possible.

I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about it.
I found a website about flipper zeros, it looks interesting https://flipperzero.one/
I've seen it before, seems like it's the shiny new thing the internet is trying to push. I just thought it was a controller for a sex toy when I saw it.
seriousy, what's a flipper zero and what does it do that a pi zero with can't do?
The main attraction is the small form factor as well as the large selection of integrated communication hardware. It does NFC, 125kHz RFID, IR, USB, bluetooth, sub-ghz radio, etc. all in your pocket, and also offers GPIOs, and can embed any software you care to write to exploit all of those.
