Byrne's actions are needlessly shitty, and as the author said, it's just very dumb to insist on hosting a disco in a Broadway venue. There is no mystique to that street, you can do a prerecorded music immersive experience anywhere else, and it would be even more interesting, like Brian Eno has been doing for over 40 years.
That being said, the author's rambling statements about everything else are neither here nor there, and don't have any aesthetic or critical weight to them. A lot of fluff to present very legitimate reasons to hate on Byrne and his new show.
