OK, I'm back after like a few weeks off since i had to focus on life stuff, i see we've merged with Lemmy since but i have to ask, why is this site so slow now? this used to be a faster site i could even get to run on my phone if i didn't have my laptop, now it's slower on my laptop, i'm just asking if it's temporary or a result of our merger. stalin-pipe

There's still some work to be done from the migration wrt performance. Upstream lemmy is working on removing websockets, which should solve performance issues on mobile; we will rebase on that after its officially released.

Thank your for informing me on this, I've since been able to better browse, seemed to be an issue of not logging on in a while too, but good to know more stability is coming. Thank you! lenin-laugh

Good to know I am not the only one that noticed this. I figured this was the case.

I blame the websockets API. It's caused quite a bit of mischief in the upstream Lemmy.

I usually use chrome because I am a lib

It's working almost perfectly for me except upbears don't stick and it's really annoying.

Try clearing your browser cache. That improved performance for me immensely. I went from not being able to load posts to snappy performance.
