Idk why I did this, guess I just wanted to do something hobby like on maybe the only true free day I'll have all year, hoping it's not a waste of time because it actually wasn't fun at all. There are reasons that Jerboa doesn't work with hexbear, I now know some of them, but also Jerboa just sucks in general. It doesn't work properly on the canonical servers. I've learned that I don't like Kotlin, maybe it's nice once you know it idk but the syntax looks horrendous. I don't like android development, this is also new info, the emulator in android studio is ungodly slow, and various features, such as forwarding keyboard input to the virtual device, phase in and out without notice. Here are links to the repo and an APK you could install if you want to try. For the love of god don't install that APK unless you trust me, probably if you're really interested you should build it yourself cause I'm a fed and have stuffed it full of Israeli spyware.

It seems more likely to me that hexbear will need to be fixed to make the API compatible with the rest of the ecosystem. Weirdly though, this version seems to work at least somewhat with the other instances, I actually expected it to break everything non-hexbear completely, in particular the features that have to do with the code changes, the fact that it works is a complete mystery to me, and one I'm not at all interested in solving. But if anyone can explain I would like to know why
