The key to enjoying strawberries is planting more strawberries. Think 50+ plants

Yours look like they have leaf scorch in places, that will spread through the patch. It's hard to believe but a good maintenance technique is to mow them after harvest. Like literally with a lawn mower. The leaves will come back bigger and it will help control disease.

How old are your apples? We put ours in 4 years ago and have yet to see a blossom. Wondering if something is going on with nutrient balance in mine.

We got a handful of cherries too but I had to give them up for fungus control bc we had really bad leaf spot last year and some carried over.

Color change for raspberries in your zone is a little early I would think but they are a mid summer fruit, sometimes you just get a weirdo that goes two weeks before everyone else. Raspberries do really well with near zero maintenance. One of the really nice benefits I've seen of control of invasives is a proliferation of raspberries into the formerly occupied spaces.

I also put in 25 blackberries last year so excited to see how they do.

I have a... considerable number of strawberry plants, well over 50.

Our gardening philosophy is pretty hands off. For us it's about cultivating joy, learning about the plants that share our space and sharing food with all the creatures. If the birds enjoy the berries, we are happy too. The strawberry plants are EVERYWHERE. If the fungus is regulating them, that's fine with us.

The apples were planted as 1m whips in spring 2022. They are probably 5 ft tall at this point.

We have some known cherry bushes, "Juliet" and "Crimson Passion" which were also planted spring 2022 but have less fruit than these other ones.

The raspberries are Nova Red and Heritage Red. Heritage red gives two harvest, the first in July. It's been a warm and early spring, but the plant is right on time with its normal cycle.

I hope the blackberries bring you joy.

Thanks that's so thoughtful! I appreciate the responses.

Amazing how much your birds are eating lol. Usually people are like yeah we planted strawberries and it's 3-4

Fingers crossed for a good summer
