Never felt anything like it, but it brought me back to how I was in my childhood and I could even play more video games and enjoy myself more.
Like, damn.
Just one edible, I took. Sativa. Peach-flavored. From Beyond / Hello.
Before that, I took half of an edible.
I was relaxed and my head was swimming, but I felt in control.
I had to lie down at first, though, but I wasn't worried.
My interoception (feeling your own body) was on fire though.
It's great but don't do it more than once a month.
Have had more of a few friends start a wake-and-bake lifestyle then remain totally stuck for years and be absolutely unable to carry on a simple conversation, or even finish a sentence without trailing off.
Other bad possibilities include cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. Basically if you don't smoke for a few hours you get deeply nauseous. Once hooked up with someone who had to fully leave my house into the night at 3 am because they started vomiting from it but I didn't have any weed to give them.

"once a month" is a fine rule if you really want to keep it special, but there's still a giant gap between that and actually abusing the stuff. I'd say guidelines like: don't make it part of your routine, don't use when you are feeling down, don't use if you are bored or only use it on special occasions or when you are with friends are much more sensible for actually keeping it in check.
So do it once a month at best? Or don't get "high" more than once a month?
Gotcha.
And yeah, this was an edible, though I felt in control.
Once a month is a little restrictive imo. I'd only start being concerned if it was a weekly habit.
What do you think I should go for?
Once a week?
Or once every two weeks?
Probably once every two weeks as a baseline, but I'm pretty sure you can be perfectly healthy going weekly. It's mostly just keeping yourself in check for being dependant and not building a habit around it. If you start to notice that in yourself, back off some you know?
Yeah, I know. Bi-weekly sounds good, tbh.
Everyone's different. I share a bowl with my wife every night while we are winding down before bed. Haven't had any negative side effects.
When I was in my twenties, I was a much heavier smoker. I was deeply unhappy with my circumstances, and used it as a way to shut my brain off after work or on weekends. The worst side effect there was hanging out with people I shouldn't have, and spending too much money on it. Now, it's cheap and everywhere.
Oh.
Honestly, that's a good point, and you seem well-adjusted and a good person and even better than you were before. I'll make note of that. Honestly, a lot of conflicting advice in this thread. I should just settle for what works for me, personally.
Good luck! It's a beautiful thing when you find the balance. Pretty much all drugs have diminishing returns the more frequently you do them.
tru 'nuff
I would say just don't do it more than once a month, assuming you're referring to weed-adjacent stuff that mellows you out but doesn't get you high like the CBD-infused-everything-under-the-sun products. Idk it's a shifty thing. Not addictive in a chemical sense but all too easy to integrate into your daily life. Then your baseline resets and non-medicated existence seems anxiety-inducing and dull.
That last part is... not how I feel.
Like, I understand what's my "weed state" and what's my "base form" and I think they both have their uses.
It is good that is now how you currently feel. However, that perception will shift over time with heavy use.
Of course, and I must be careful.
