Every day we go unfederated, libs go unbullied and potential comrades fleeing reddit end up in a space without counter programming for the imperialist propaganda they're immersed in.
Testing in the various Lemmy apps I've used shows that Hexbear is already federated with servers like lemmy.ml while it seems like we are already blocked by or chose to not federate with a lot of the main stream non-leftist servers. I suspect the Hexbear website hasn't been updated to take full advantage of the backend switching to Lemmy but if you use one of the Lemmy apps to login then the features are shown.
After a bit more testing I think Hexbear might not actually be Federated yet and the various apps are just loading the Hexbear section with the same name as the section on other servers. I say this because of a section doesn't exist on Hexbear but exist on the other server it fails to load.
How bad is it?
