I've taken a trust, but verify approach to the big block-lists floating around for Mastodon and have found that there are at least a handful of instances listed as "racism" for calling people crackers (the vast majority are accurately categorized though). Liberals see themselves as the vanguard of social progress, and to them, it is inherently racist for people to tell them to shut up and sit down.
